Craig Pennell is Associate Professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at The University of Western Australia and also a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with subspecialty training in maternal-fetal medicine. In addition to his PhD in fetal physiology, he has postgraduate advanced training in molecular genetics. Research interests include the prediction and prevention of preterm birth and also the developmental origins of health and disease (DOHaD). Associate Professor Pennell was the Scientific Director of the Western Australian Pregnancy (Raine) Cohort between 2008 – 2013, and is now President of the Preterm Birth International Collaborative (PREBIC).
